Not sure the darned Fuji S2 "AA" batteries went dead..I had a spare set , but could not load the tray fast enough to see...I think they were just traveling the tracks

hmmm their was nothing on the news. and i heard no crash ..but they were gone before I could get past the guardrail and look down the tracks.

Darn batteries, Get a spare tray keep it loaded.At least you got the shot.

That is good. My wife and i were in the Scottish highlands and the RAF practice low fly runs over the country side really some thing to see .

yes the spare trays are about $40.00 ..and I have plenty of 2650 mah NiMH batteries

in this area is a military use zone ..not far...but their is also a local small Class B airstrip nearby..maybe they were lost

That could costly but then you might get that Pulitzer shot.The one we are hope full of getting. How long have you had the S2 and other than battery issues have you had any real problems with it.

3 yrs on the S2..and I moved up to it from a Nikon D1 ..I miss the D1 as it could manual meter AI lenses ..I have a 24mm manual focus Sigma XQ Filtermatic from the 70's that I love and it always perfectly metered on the D1 ..and will mount on the S2 but I have to guesstimate ..or use a lightmeter...The lense for this shot is my Tamron 24-135mm ..ED IF ASP ..is very nice and sharp lense...The batteries have always crapped in the S2 especially if shooting RAW or TIFF ...but S2 can be set to shoot at 1.5 megapixels 3 6 and 12.2 and this image was set in the 6 megapixel mode and as Jpeg Fine ..with all default color values and color contrast
